If you need to contact Nathan, please note his email address has recently changed to bignate.francis@gmail.com To Alisha Mill (Canterbury Member) who will compete at the 2023 Hong Kong World Boccia Asia-Oceania Regional Championships in May. This will be Alisha’s first sanctioned international event and she will compete in the Individual BC4 Female competition. We are so proud of you! New Minister announced for Disability Issues The Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan has been named as the new Minister for Disability Issues today, ahead of Hon Poto Williams’s departure from politics. Minister Radhakrishnan spent her work life advocating on behalf of people whose voices are often unheard – survivors of domestic violence, and migrant workers who have been exploited. She has worked with our diverse communities across Aotearoa and is committed to ensuring that their voices are heard in Parliament and that they’re supported to thrive. She will also hold the portfolios for the Community and Voluntary Sector, and for Diversity, Inclusion and Ethnic Communities, as well as the associated portfolios of Social Development and Employment, and Workplace Relations and Safety. MDANZ Annual General Meeting The MDANZ Annual General Meeting will be held online via Zoom on Friday 28th April 2023 at 7.00pm. Details have been sent to all members with voting rights. In Touch Magazine Our flagship publication In Touch , Kia noho tata, aims to inform and inspire. Due to its popularity and demand for hard copies, the magazine will go back to being produced quarterly (instead of bi-monthly). Keep an eye out for the next issue in June!
