South Island Branch: The Annual General Meeting will be held online via Zoom on Friday 19th April 2024 at 7.00pm. Our 65th year This year MDA celebrates their 65th anniversary. That’s 65 years of supporting members and their whanau! We want to promote this milestone with a special campaign, “Our community: 65 conditions, 65 stories”, and feature 65 of our members, each with a different condition MDA supports. If you would like to be part of this exciting campaign and share your photo, and a few sentences about yourself and your condition, please email ea@mda.org.nz or chat with your Fieldworker. NEWS ROUNDUP MDANZ Annual General Meeting The MDANZ Annual General Meeting will be held online via Zoom on Friday 26th April 2024 at 7.00pm. Details have been sent to all members with voting rights. FSHMD Group Meetings If you or a family member have FSHD, there is an online support group who meet every second Wednesday of the month on Zoom, from 7pm – 8pm. Email info@mda.org.nz for more information. Join the Central Region Branch! The Central Region Branch currently has two vacancies on their Committee for a Treasurer and Secretary. This is a great chance to volunteer and help your local Central Region MDA members. In November 2023, Allied Medical turned 25 and to celebrate, gave away 25 wheelchairs to individuals or organisations around Aotearoa. It was their way of saying thank you for 25 incredible years of support. MDA Northern member, Sheryl Amos, was one of the 25 lucky winners. Congratulations Sheryl!
