Our AGM on 27 April marked the close of another year of service, and it was a privilege to report back to you, our members, on all that we’ve achieved together. I remain honoured to serve as your National Executive Chairperson for another year. This new chapter brings fresh energy to our leadership, and I’m pleased to introduce our 2025 National Board. We welcome both new and returning members: • Scott Boyle , Vice Chairperson (South Island) • John Hawkins (Central) • Jessica Anderson , Yaz Dolbel-Neville , and Joy Jenkin (Northern) • Kim Russell and Emma Ferry (South Island) Together, we’re committed to strengthening our mission and reaching even more people with the support and advocacy that sets our organisation apart. As we head into the winter months, we’re reminded of how important our work is, especially for those in our communities who face increased challenges during this season. Don’t forget we offer funding for pneumonia FROM THE DESK Kōrero with Trevor The Bradley Jenkin Memorial Fund helps MDANZ members with a neuromuscular condition receive funding for access opportunities and specialised resources that enable them to achieve freedom. The fund has helped members purchase specialised sports equipment, participate in sporting events, it has contributed towards the cost of obtaining a mobility dog, provided mobility equipment, and assisted with career development such as university and course fees.
