Thank You We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the incredible people and organisations who stood by our members in 2022-2023. Thank you to the individuals and businesses here in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas who so kindly raised money for us this year and to all the individuals, families, organisations and donors who have supported us in a multitude of ways. We sincerely appreciate how deeply you share our passion for helping people with Cerebral Palsy reach their highest potential, be supported and informed, and have more freedom and choice. Your generosity means everything to us and to our whole community. Thank you. Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini – Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many. Cathy’s hair-raising fundraiser How’s this for an awesome fundraiser that benefits multiple people. After growing her hair out Cathy Simpson, mother to Cerebral Palsy Society member Hunter, decided to cut her very long hair. She set up a Givealittle page, asking for donations of support. In doing so, she raised more than $1,130 for the Society, and her hair was donated to a Dunedin company that turned it into wigs for children with cancer and alopecia. That’s one heck of a win-win. “It’s my pleasure to help those in need.” L to R: Cathy’s hair before and after. 18 | ANNUAL IMPACT REPORT 2022-2023
