48 Queen Margaret Calling :: ISSUE 62 :: October 2018 From the Foundation Trust Board The Queen Margaret College Foundation Trust has continued to evolve over the second half of this year, as our new independent trustees have settled in and our strategy has taken shape. It was with much regret that we said farewell to JaneWoodrow in August when she resigned as Chair. I would like to acknowledge all the hard work Jane has done for the Foundation Trust in the last four years. The Foundation Trust now has six independent trustees; Carol Weston, Ann Mildenhall, Curtis Marsh, John Young, Karuna Muthu and myself. Looking towards the future, we are planning to broaden our approach to fundraising and support while continuing to honour the Trust Deed in keeping the ultimate goals to create an enduring legacy for the future of the College. This is done through providing a quality education and enhancing the learning environments available to current and future students. Key focus areas in the coming year will be our usual fundraising activities, community involvement, a scholarship programme, and the Centenary. The Centenary is a great opportunity for the College to come together and we are looking forward to it. The Pantomime is coming up on Friday 16 November at Circa Theatre. This year the show is Puss in Boots and tickets are $15 for a child and $30 for adults. This is a great chance for our families to have a bit of fun at the end of the academic year. Tickets can be booked at qmc.school.nz. If you are able to support the work of the Foundation Trust in any way, please contact me at foundation@qmc.school.nz . We would love to hear from you.
