From the Foundation Trust Board The QMC Foundation Trust continues to support the College this year and put in place a sustainable programme of facility enhancements, scholarships, and access to extraordinary learning opportunities. In December 2018 the Foundation Trust welcomed Peter Warwick-Mahoney, who has a wealth of experience in school development programmes, as a trustee. Our centenary year provides significant opportunities for the QMC community to reflect on and celebrate our journey over the past 100 years. It also allows us to consider what the future of the College will look like and how we can support this vision. School fees pay for day- to-day operating costs of the College including staffing, educational resources, administration and property expenses, but this alone will not secure the long-term future of QMC. The QMC Foundation Trust will be engaging with our community in 2019 through events and initiatives including Centenary activities, Annual Giving and other initiatives throughout the year. We invite you and hope that you will join us on our mission to build on the generosity of previous generations to meet the needs of the future. We need your ongoing support to enable this, and welcome input, support and feedback from you and the extended College community. For more information about the QMC Foundation Trust please contact me at foundation@qmc.school.nz . We would love to hear from you. Leila Dunphy Foundation Trust Chair Puss in Boots: The Pantomime It was wonderful to see so many Queen Margaret College families attend Puss in Boots: The Pantomime at Circa Theatre last year. Students and parents dressed up as their favourite characters and won prizes for their efforts. There was also a special gold-coin Mufti Day at school on the day to get students and staff into the festive spirit. The chosen charity was the Cats Protection League and students raised over $400 for them through the mufti day. Thank you to the Queen Margaret College Foundation Trust for hosting the Pantomime.
