Wearing a school uniform creates a sense of belonging and pride. You are expected to maintain a high standard of dress and grooming during school hours, travelling to and from school and when representing the College at functions. Blazers are to be worn to and from school, to assemblies and on special occasions. Cardigans can be worn for extra warmth but should not be worn without the blazer outside of school grounds. Students must wear black leather shoes or sandals. All uniform items should be clearly labelled and kept in good condition. Hair must be tied up and no jewellery is to be worn except for a watch, small stud earrings or school badges. Make up and nail polish are not allowed. Information regarding school uniform is available from New Zealand Uniforms, located at 168 Thorndon Quay. It is open Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm and on Saturdays from 9am–1pm. Queen Margaret College also offers the opportunity to buy and sell second hand uniforms.
