20 House system Traditionally, students with family connections belong to the same house. Friendly competition is evident in house swimming, athletics, performing arts, debating, service and academic endeavours. House Prefects fromYear 13 work with House Leaders in Years 10, 8 and 6, ensuring all levels are well represented. All staff, with the exception of the Principal, belong to a house. Berwick House colours: Blue and white Motto: Ad Astra (to the stars) Students belong to one of five houses: Berwick, Braemar, Glamis, Lochleven and Stirling Each house has its own colours, badge and motto. Belonging to a house provides students with the opportunity to make friends and take part in sport and cultural activities as part of a team. This helps to build a sense of community and a place to enjoy friendly competition.
