LIVE. LEARN. LEAD | QUEEN MARGARET COLLEGE 3 Welcome to the Queen Margaret College Year 11 Subject Selection Handbook. The purpose of this booklet is to help students make the wisest subject choices now and in the long term, bearing in mind that at the end of Year 11 students have the opportunity to choose which senior secondary school qualification they will take in Years 12 and 13, the International Baccalaureate Diploma or the National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA). Students are advised to study this guide very closely – in particular the curriculum overview at the back of this book – and carefully discuss options with those people who can assist them to make an informed choice. As well as talking to teachers, parents and friends, help is available from a variety of sources.
