Each regional event enabled researchers to present to our supporters, giving them insight into the ground-breaking research their donations are funding. If you couldn’t attend our events in March, a select number of themwere recorded and will be available later this year through our website. Although we are proud of our successful events in March, we are also deeply saddened from the attacks in Christchurch on the 15March. Our thoughts and hearts go out to those affected by the horrific acts of that day. Due to the attacks on the 15March, our Dunedin and Christchurch events were postponed, for updates on when these events will be held please read through to page 5. In March I also presented the business plan to the Foundation’s Council and they approved $5M to support Projects, Fellowships, Scholarships, Conferences and the Neurological Foundation Human Brain Bank plus the Chair of Clinical Neurology. We’re busy reviewing the next grant round applications for discussion at the Scientific Advisory Committee in June. In May we’ll be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Neurological Foundation Human Brain Bank with Distinguished Professor Sir Richard Faull, Professor Maurice Curtis and the Centre for Brain Research in Auckland. The Neurological Foundation Human Brain Bank was founded in 1994 and since then has been a world leader in neurological research using the human brain. To finish I wanted to say an enormous THANK YOU to all of you who continue to support the Foundation both financially through your wonderful generosity and as advocates for the importance of continuing neurological research. We so value your support, without you none of this could happen. Best wishes, Rich Easton, CEO 2 Headlines
