As I move on to other things, I’m confident that the Foundation is in great shape. Reflecting on the past decade, I want to honour the steady progress of researchers and clinicians as they pursue their goals. Thanks to their dedicated work, funded by the Foundation’s loyal supporters, we now know so much more about neurological conditions than we did in 2013. Inmy time on Council, we havemade our own steady progress improving systems and processes to support responsible decision- making. This lets usmake themost of our supporters’ generous gi•s and continue to fund somuch exciting research aroundNewZealand. I would like to thank everyone that I’ve worked with over the years: all the Council members who have volunteered their time, as well as dedicated staff. Your contributions have been greatly appreciated. Who knows what the next decade holds? Like you, I will bewatchingwith interest.We are taking baby steps, but we’re taking themquickly.
