Do not underestimate the amount of training required especially in January, February and March. Please see the 2018/19 training calendar below. We will ensure that all training sessions are well planned and thought through. The training schedule will be sequential and will build as the season develops. The coaches will ensure all rowers receive feedback throughout the season on how they are tracking. Six to eight training sessions Monday – Friday and one or two sessions over the weekend. Regattas Three Three One local Championship regatta. Three senior championship Rowing New Zealand regattas. One local schools regatta; North Islands. Maadi Cup; on selection only. Camps One away day training at Ruamahanga River Featherston or weekend in Whanganui training. Spring Camp includes one away day training at Ruamahanga River in Featherston or a weekend in Whanganui training. Summer Camp (which is considered mandatory) includes the Christmas school holidays. Girls are expected to continue with personal training during this period to be considered for Championship crews. Last Chance Camp at Whanganui River for a weekend. Novice rowers
