These talented individuals volunteer their time to help the Neurological Foundation ensure that we invest in the best research applications. You can read about the next wave of funding starting on page 14. I have been working closely with the Neurological Foundation Council to update our Rules & Objects document over the last fewmonths. This was first created in the 1970’s and has been through a fewminor updates over the years. With the review of the Charities Act, Council felt we needed to update the whole document to ensure it remains appropriate for the Foundation going forward. It is important to note we are not changing the intent of our reason for being a charity, only updating the document to reflect current good business governance. There is a Special General Meeting on 5 September where Members can vote on the changes. This issue also provides an update from the two Research Fellows that form part of the Chair of Clinical Neurology, led by Professor Alan Barber. Hopefully you enjoy reading about their research into various aspects of Stroke treatment and recovery. Lastly, thank you again for your ongoing support, without your generosity we would not be able to fund such a wider range of progress into neurological research. Best wishes, Rich Easton, CEO 2 Headlines
