6 | InTouch SPRING 2025 NEWS ROUNDUP Insights from national kōrero on draft disability strategy Para Table Tennis Festival in Auckland Get discounted taxi fares with Total Mobility Last week, Access Matters Aotearoa (AMA), the Disabled Persons Assembly (DPA), and Enabling Good Lives (EGL), with support fromWhaikaha, hosted a national kōrero on the draft New Voice of Rare Disorders survey for 2025 now open The 2025 Voice of Rare Disorders Survey is now open, and people living with a confirmed diagnosis of a rare disorder in Aotearoa New Zealand, or primary carers are invited to complete the survey. The survey aims to find out what the challenges and barriers people living with a rare disorder face within the health and social systems to access the care and support they need. Have you heard about Total Mobility? It’s a scheme that gives disabled people discounted taxi fares, making it easier for you to get around, run your daily errands, and get involved with things happening in your community. Total Mobility is run by local councils and is specifically for disabled people who are unable to ride or get to public transport safely.
